　　Fuel cell electric vehicles are vehicles that use hydrogen and oxygen in the air as catalysts to generate electrical energy through electrochemical reactions in fuel cells, which serves as the main power source for driving. Its power system mainly consists of a fuel cell engine, fuel tank (hydrogen cylinder), electric/generator, power battery, etc. It uses fuel cell power generation as the main energy source and drives the vehicle through an electric motor.

　　The main characteristics of fuel cell electric vehicles are high energy conversion efficiency. The energy conversion efficiency of fuel cells can reach up to 60%~80%, which is 2-3 times that of internal combustion engines; Zero emissions, no pollution to the environment. The fuel for fuel cells is hydrogen and oxygen, and the product is clean water; Hydrogen fuel has a wide range of sources and can be obtained from renewable energy sources, without relying on petroleum fuels.

　　The research and development model of fuel cell vehicles is currently led by the government through joint efforts of industry, academia, and research, and actively engaged in cross-border cooperation on a global scale. The implementation of national major research programs and collaborative research and development projects has greatly promoted the global research and development process of fuel cells and fuel cell vehicles. Recently, newly launched fuel cell vehicles internationally have shown excellent performance, making significant progress in vehicle reliability, cost control, and other aspects.
