Tests are conducted to ensure that the battery can withstand drops, vibrations, and punctures without compromising its safety. Moreover, standards related to fire safety are also important. Lithium batteries should be designed to minimize the risk of fire in case of a malfunction. This may involve using flame-retardant materials in the battery construction and ensuring that any potential fire is contained within the battery pack to prevent it from spreading to the surrounding environment. Overall, these safety standards are essential to protect users, property, and the environment and to promote the widespread and safe use of lithium batteries.
