Lithium iron phosphate battery

  Lithium iron phosphate batteries use lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) as the positive electrode material. Using iron as the raw material for the battery is cost-effective, does not contain heavy metals, and has less environmental pollution. The working voltage is 3.2V. The P-O bond in lithium iron phosphate crystal is stable, so there will be no leakage during zero voltage storage. It has high safety under high temperature conditions or overcharging, and can be quickly charged. It has high discharge power, no memory effect, and long cycle life. The disadvantages are poor low-temperature performance, low vibration density of the positive electrode material, low energy density, and the product yield and consistency are also questioned.

  Currently, most electric vehicles use lithium batteries, but lithium batteries have many limitations. Firstly, the price is relatively high, and secondly, the amount of electricity stored in the battery is far from what the user needs, requiring frequent charging. Furthermore, the charging process is slow and requires a significant amount of time.

  The unique two-dimensional structure and excellent inherent physical properties of graphene endow it with exceptionally high conductivity and large surface area, making it highly advantageous in energy storage and release processes. Therefore, graphene supercapacitors can store more electricity than lithium batteries.

  When carrying the same amount of electricity, graphene supercapacitors have a smaller volume and lighter weight. This undoubtedly helps to alleviate the widespread "range anxiety" of new energy vehicles at present.

  The service life of graphene supercapacitors is twice that of ordinary lithium batteries, but the manufacturing cost has been reduced by 77%. Due to its reliable use and affordable price, it is likely to become a key factor in changing the pattern of new energy vehicles.

  In addition, once graphene based supercapacitors are put into mass production, it can not only drive the development of upstream graphite and graphene industries, but also promote the development of downstream application terminals such as wind and solar power generation, smart grid, rail transit, heavy industry machinery, and new energy vehicles.
