Due to the low energy density of lithium cobalt oxide batteries and the high energy density of nickel cadmium or nickel cobalt oxide batteries, the advantages of ternary lithium-ion batteries are: smaller size, higher capacity density, better low-temperature resistance, and better cycling performance, making them the mainstay of new energy passenger vehicles.
Ternary lithium-ion batteries have a high energy density and better cycling performance than normal lithium-ion batteries. Currently, with the continuous improvement of formula and structure, the nominal voltage of the battery has reached 3.7V, which has reached or exceeded the level of lithium-ion batteries in terms of capacity.
The important ternary material lithium-ion batteries include nickel diamond aluminate lithium-ion batteries, nickel diamond manganate lithium-ion batteries, etc. The high-temperature structure is unstable, leading to poor high-temperature safety.
