Chaowei Group's new 1.2V Ni-MH battery is launched, with a cycle life of up to 4,500 times
On July 20, at the Anhui production base of Chaowei Group, after a series of procedures such as battery performance testing, laser coding, and automated packaging, a set of new "black technology" products were successfully launched and immediately put on the market. It is reported that this is a new product successfully developed by Chaowei Group's R&D team for three years - "new 1.2V Ni-MH battery". The technology is at the leading domestic and first-class international level.
In recent years, with the rapid rise of express delivery, takeout and other industries, electric bicycles have become the best choice for the “last mile”. However, because these two groups have high requirements for using electric vehicles frequently, accumulating long mileage, and fast food delivery, traditional lead-acid batteries will accelerate decay and their service life will be greatly reduced when used frequently. Therefore, the market is in urgent need of a long-life intelligent power battery. In view of this, Chaowei Group invested heavily, took three years, and went through 500 tests, and finally successfully developed it.
"We have transplanted the long-life energy storage battery technology that the group has successfully developed for many years to power battery technology. Liu Xiaowei, leader of the product project team and chief expert of Chaowei Group's Technical Quality Center, said: In terms of technology, the cathode absorbs advanced technologies from Japan and the United States and innovates them. At the same time, rare earth alloy technology is used to solve the problems of softening of the positive electrode and sulfurization of the negative electrode. The cycle life of the positive electrode has been increased to 3,000 times. For the negative electrode, capacitor carbon and super carbon formula materials are used to prepare lead-carbon negative electrodes, which overcomes the problems of high negative electrode charging voltage and hydrogen evolution. A big problem, the overcharge capacity is reduced by 3 times, and the cycle life can reach up to 4500 times.
It is understood that this product is based on the group’s previous research and development results on long-life lead-acid batteries, using technologies such as long-life energy storage batteries by Yang Yusheng, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, advanced material manufacturing, and fast charging from Chaowei’s American R&D Center. It was successfully developed through independent research and development. In order to replace new materials from Japan, the United States and other countries, product performance has been greatly improved. This product has the characteristics of high safety, low cost, recyclability, low temperature resistance, and long life. It can be applied to electric two-wheeled vehicles, three-wheeled vehicles, low-speed electric vehicles, etc., and can be used in express delivery, logistics, takeout, and rental industries.
