What are the characteristics of energy storage batteries and what should you pay attention to when using them?
Energy storage batteries have the characteristics of no memory effect, high temperature resistance, safe use, ultra-long life, etc., and the performance-price ratio will be more than 4 times that of lead-acid batteries; however, when using it, be careful to avoid rapid acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle. 1. Product features of energy storage batteries
1. Super long life. The cycle life of long-life lead-acid batteries is about 300 times, and the maximum is 500 times. The best battery cycle life of the lithium iron phosphate energy storage battery produced can reach more than 2,000 times. Standard charging ( 5 hours rate) can be used up to 2000 times. Lead-acid batteries of the same quality last "half a year for new ones, half a year for old ones, and another half year for maintenance", which is 1 to 1.5 years at most, while lithium iron phosphate batteries will last 7 to 8 years when used under the same conditions. Comprehensive consideration, the performance-price ratio will be more than 4 times that of lead-acid batteries.
2. It is safe to use. Lithium iron phosphate completely solves the safety hazards of lithium cobalt oxide and lithium manganate. Lithium cobalt oxide and lithium manganate will explode under strong collision and pose a threat to the life safety of consumers. Iron phosphate Lithium has undergone rigorous safety testing and will not explode even in the worst traffic accidents.
3. It can charge and discharge quickly with high current of 2C. Under a special charger, the battery can be fully charged within 40 minutes at 1.5C, and the starting current can reach 2C. Lead-acid batteries do not have this performance.
4. High temperature resistance. The electric heating peak of lithium iron phosphate can reach 350℃~500℃, while the peak value of lithium manganate and lithium cobalt oxide is only about 200℃.
5. Large capacity.

2. Precautions when using energy storage batteries
1. When the energy storage battery is at low temperature, the charging time becomes longer, which is a normal phenomenon. At low temperature, the BMS will engage the heating relay, request the heating voltage and current from the OBC through CAN, and then charge while heating (or first heat to a certain level). After the temperature is reached, it enters the state of charging while heating.
2. When the vehicle is parked and charged in a low-temperature environment with high battery capacity, due to the chemical characteristics of the battery, the SOC may jump to 100%, which is normal.
3. The energy storage battery will switch to the trickle charging mode when it is charged to high power. The terminal charging time will be lengthened, and the estimated charging time displayed by the meter will be biased.
4. When using the vehicle for the first time or after parking it for a long time, the SOC displayed by the instrument may be biased. It is recommended to fully charge the vehicle to calibrate the SOC when using it for the first time or after parking it for a long time.
5. In order to keep the energy storage battery in the best condition, please use charging equipment to fully charge the energy storage battery regularly (it is recommended to fully charge it at least once a week).
6. To ensure the safety of energy storage batteries, vehicles should be kept away from flammable and explosive items, fire sources and various hazardous chemicals.
7. The vehicle should be charged and parked away from heat sources and avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, otherwise it will reduce the service life of the energy storage battery.
8. In order to ensure long-term performance, avoid continuously exposing the vehicle to an environment with a temperature greater than 60°C or less than -30°C for more than 24 hours.
9. When the vehicle is not used for a long time (more than 7 days), the battery power should be kept at 40%~60%, otherwise the service life of the energy storage battery will be reduced. If the vehicle is not used for more than 3 months, it must be checked every 3 months. The energy storage battery should be fully charged before being discharged to 40%~60%. Otherwise, the energy storage battery may be over-discharged, reduce battery performance, or even be damaged, resulting in vehicle failure and damage.
10. High-current charging and discharging will reduce the service life of the energy storage battery. It is recommended to use a low-power charging device for charging and try to avoid rapid acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle.
