After these new regulations are officially implemented, if my country's battery companies want to export their products, they will have to upgrade their technology to meet the safety and environmental protection requirements in the new regulations. Export product quality has been repeatedly criticized, and domestic companies are in urgent need of technology upgrades

At the end of 2015, the UK confiscated 15,000 balance bikes on the grounds of battery fire hazards; in February 2016, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission suddenly announced that a large number of balance bikes in my country were recalled due to frequent lithium-ion battery fire accidents; the United States and Canada also recalled more than 700,000 balance bikes made in China in July this year... In addition to the export of balance bikes being blocked due to safety hazards in batteries, in the first five months of 2016, there were more than 100 cases of my country's exported batteries being returned abroad due to quality problems, a surge of nearly 40% year-on-year.

my country's lithium battery products face export difficulties due to safety factors. If they want to pass foreign standards, they still need to overcome safety technical barriers and improve their own product quality. In the risk monitoring of electric balance car batteries organized by the Shanghai Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau recently, only one of the 20 samples passed all the tests. From the test results, it can be seen that the safety performance and quality of my country's lithium battery-related products are worrying, and battery companies are in urgent need of technological upgrading.

In addition, the market size of traditional batteries such as nickel-cadmium batteries and storage batteries has gradually shrunk due to the environmental protection policies of various countries. At present, the market share of traditional batteries is gradually being replaced by lithium-ion batteries, but if companies want to achieve technological transformation, high technical barriers and capital investment have become problems that companies must solve.

The relevant inspection and quarantine departments also reminded battery export companies to pay close attention to the latest foreign technical barriers such as battery safety and environmental protection, strengthen information exchanges with professional institutions and competent departments, grasp market opportunities, and strictly carry out corresponding testing and certification.

The media believes that green environmental protection is a global trend, and battery export companies should increase their research and development efforts to develop new batteries that are safer and more environmentally friendly. Relevant electrical companies should also gradually use new batteries such as lithium batteries to replace traditional batteries, and should take more effective safety protection measures to reduce lithium battery safety risks. In addition to battery companies strengthening certification, manufacturers of power tools, balance bikes, and other vehicles that use batteries as accessories must also strengthen quality control to prevent trade disputes caused by exported products that fail to meet foreign quality and safety requirements.
