By equalizing the charge levels, the wear and tear on all cells are more evenly distributed. Additionally, cell balancing can improve the performance of the battery pack. A balanced battery pack can deliver more consistent power output, reducing the likelihood of voltage drops during high - current discharges. It also allows for better utilization of the overall capacity of the battery pack, as cells are not limited by the lowest - capacity cell in the pack.
