How to install 1.2V NiMH battery correctly and how to install it?
Before installing the 1.2V NiMH battery, you must design a connection plan. Remove the metal parts during installation. Remember to tap the poles to be connected when connecting to avoid electric shock accidents. And the 1.2V NiMH battery should not be stored above 40 degrees Celsius, and good ventilation should be maintained. Next, I will introduce the details to you.
1. Installation of 1.2V NiMH battery
1. Design the connection plan in advance. It is recommended to remove the metal accessories on hand during installation.
2. Before ups batteries are put on the shelves, they must be physically inspected and the open circuit voltage measured to avoid rework. When one end of the connecting cable is connected to the 1.2V NiMH battery, the other end should be insulated and protected or held in the palm of your hand to prevent misplacement and sparking.
3. After one end of the wiring is connected, the other end should tap the pole to be connected when connecting to effectively avoid the impact of incorrect connections.
4. When two people are connected at the same time, there should be no connection or potential relationship between the corresponding 1.2V NiMH battery packs. Because the two people have the same potential, if there is a potential difference between the batteries connected to each other, the battery and the two people will form a circuit, and an electric shock accident may occur.
5. After the PS battery pack is connected in series, the voltage between the total positive and total negative of the 1.2V NiMH battery pack is relatively high. When connecting to the MCCB (battery switch), each wire should be connected to the MCCB first and then to the corresponding battery terminal. ; Or leave a breakpoint in the battery pack, and then connect the breakpoint after completing the connection between MCCB and 1.2V NiMH battery pack. For multiple groups of battery packs connected in parallel, each group should have a broken end, and after connecting the MCCB terminal, use a multimeter to check the polarity and then connect the broken ends.
2. How to maintain UPS batteries
1. When storing, please be careful that the temperature does not fall below -20℃ and exceed the range of +40℃.
2. When storing the battery, the battery must be stored in a fully charged state. Since part of the capacity will be lost due to self-discharge during transportation or during storage, please replenish the battery at any time during use to avoid capacity reduction of the 1.2V NiMH battery caused by long-term automatic discharge.
3. When storing for a long time, in order to make up for the self-discharge during storage, please perform supplementary charging.
4. Storage under conditions exceeding 40C will have a great impact on battery life. Please avoid it if possible.
5. Please store it in a dry, low-temperature, and well-ventilated place.
6. If the battery packaging is accidentally wetted by water during storage or transfer, the packaging carton should be removed immediately to prevent the wet carton from becoming a conductor and causing the battery to discharge or burn out the positive terminal (because water is conductive) .
7. Check the battery regularly. If dust or other external contamination is found, please clean it with a cloth soaked in water or warm water. Do not use organic solvents or oils such as gasoline and banana water for cleaning (to avoid corrosion to the 1.2V NiMH battery packaging structure), and avoid using chemical fiber cloth.
8. During float charging, if the total voltage during battery charging or the index value of the voltmeter on the indicator plate deviates from the reference value shown in the table below (±0.05V/single cell), the cause should be investigated and dealt with.
