They precipitate on the surface of the negative electrode to form lithium dendrites, which can easily pierce the separator and cause a short circuit in the battery, thereby damaging the battery and causing safety accidents.

It is best not to charge CR1632 battery in winter, because at low temperatures, the lithium ions embedded in the negative electrode will crystallize and directly pierce the separator, which will generally cause a micro short circuit, affecting the life and performance, and even directly explode in severe cases. So some people report that lithium-ion batteries cannot be charged in winter because some people with battery management systems are protected by the product.
