Operators of new energy vehicle fast charging stations face many business challenges (including demand charges and time-of-use charges). Energy storage systems can help fast charging stations reduce some operating costs. However, its application value and benefits are highly dependent on the electricity tariff structure, capital costs, charging facility utilization and customer price sensitivity.
