　　The new battery can maintain a capacitance of 1200 mAh/g after 300 charge and discharge cycles at a temperature of 60 degrees Celsius, while the average capacitance of traditional lithium-ion batteries is 140 to 170 mAh/g. Because lithium-sulfur batteries carry half the voltage of lithium-ion batteries and have an average capacitance of 8 times that, the energy density of the new battery is about 4 times that of traditional lithium-ion batteries.
