These numbers are critical for compatibility—using a 20700 cell in a device designed for 18650 will result in a poor fit and potential safety risks.
Prismatic and pouch batteries use different coding, often including voltage, capacity, and dimensions. A model like "LP503048" indicates a Li-polymer pouch cell with a thickness of 5mm, width of 30mm, and length of 48mm, with additional characters denoting capacity (e.g., "1000mAh").
