When consumers purchase batteries, they only need to look at the mercury content of the battery to determine whether it is an environmentally friendly battery.

　　Button Battery recycling: In Alkaline battery, Silver oxide battery and Zinc–air battery that use zinc electrodes, the zinc in the negative electrode can react with the components in the electrolyte, which will be corroded and consumed. This will not only reduce the available capacity of the battery, but may also produce hydrogen, causing the internal pressure of the sealed battery to increase and expand. To suppress this effect, a small amount of mercury is usually coated on the surface of zinc, but this also causes mercury pollution to the environment caused by discarded batteries. Although mercury free Button cell has been launched, due to technology or patent reasons, mercury free Button cell is not popular enough.

　　The Button cell is not within the scope of the mercury free ban on general Dry cell, and a small amount of mercury is still allowed. It must be recycled in accordance with the instructions of environmental protection units.
