If you do not go through the process of reading the fault code and remove the battery connection cable or remove the power fuse on your own, it will cause the power supply of the ECU to malfunction. Interrupt phenomenon, and the fault code stored in the random access memory will also be eliminated. If you want to reacquire fault information, you must repeat or reproduce the working conditions and environmental conditions when the fault occurred.

  If the engine cannot be started, unauthorized removal of the faulty battery connection cable will cause the fault code to disappear and become unobtainable, thereby losing an important source of fault judgment. Therefore, before performing maintenance on the electronically controlled engine, we must first check the fault code recorded by the ECU according to the standards, and then perform subsequent maintenance.

  In addition, as long as the connections of other electrical devices are consistent with the battery voltage, they cannot be removed if they are in the open position of the switch button. Otherwise, the related coils will still generate self-induced electromotive force, causing the ECU or other sensors to malfunction. damage. Equipment that may be damaged includes: ignition system, idle stepper motor, ECU programmable read-only memory, fuel injectors, air conditioners and other electromagnetic clutches, as well as some connecting wires of the ECU, etc.

  3. Do not easily disassemble the code by disassembling the battery cable.

  For most electronically controlled engines, removing the battery cable or removing the fuse connected to the ECU will interrupt the power supply for 30 seconds, thus resetting the fault code stored in the ECU. However, this method is not applicable to other engines. After all, the memory of vehicle anti-theft, audio, quartz clock, etc. are also stored in the random access memory. After the power supply is interrupted, these data will be cleared together, and then the audio lock code will occur. For these engines, it is required to clear the fault code according to the method in the maintenance instructions, and the battery connecting wire cannot be removed hastily.
