Lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries, a popular lithium-ion chemistry, stand out for their unique combination of safety, durability, and performance, making them suitable for diverse applications. However, LiFePO4 batteries have a slightly lower energy density than some lithium-ion variants (e.g., NCM batteries), which means they are slightly heavier for the same energy storage.
