LiFePO4 batteries also boast an exceptionally long cycle life. They can endure 2000-5000 charge-discharge cycles (and often more) while retaining over 80% of their original capacity, far exceeding the lifespan of lead-acid batteries and even other lithium-ion types. However, LiFePO4 batteries have a slightly lower energy density than some lithium-ion variants (e.g., NCM batteries), which means they are slightly heavier for the same energy storage. Despite this, their safety and durability make them indispensable in applications prioritizing reliability and longevity.
