What are the drawbacks of long-life batteries? •Cannot discharge with high current. Conventional lithium thionyl chloride batteries cannot discharge at large currents and are only suitable for long-term discharge at low currents. •A passivation film will form if not used for a long time, causing the current to be unable to be discharged. If a conventional lithium thionyl chloride battery is left for a long time, a passivation film will form. The passivation film will hinder the discharge of current, and the voltage will drop instantaneously, causing the battery to appear to be ineffective. In fact, the battery is not damaged. After the passivation film is removed, the battery can still be used. A continuous small current will eliminate the influence of the passivation film, but note that not every manufacturer can do this. Therefore, long-life batteries may not be usable immediately after being left for a period of time.

TLp batteries not only retain all the advantages of lithium sub-batteries, but also achieve the ideal state of being able to provide large pulse currents. The battery is designed to be uniquely designed for areas that require only a small current supply (or even no supply) at ordinary times, but require high pulse discharge at critical moments and require a very long battery life. The battery can be widely used in: •Control of on-off valves •SMS and GpRS/CDMA remote data transmission •Higher power microwave and other radio data transmission
