Schaeffler develops metal bipolar plates for fuel cells to 6LR61 battery systems

Fuel cells are the key to achieving sustainable transportation
Schaeffler makes full use of traditional core technologies and continuously improves the value chain of key components of fuel cells. Bipolar plates are the core components of fuel cells. They are formed by precise forming and coating of thin metal plates, and are stacked to form the core stack of the fuel cell system. Fuel cells are energy conversion devices that react hydrogen and oxygen to form water. The electricity generated after releasing electrons can be used to drive the vehicle's motor. In order to 6LR61 battery systems, Schaeffler continues to expand its product range by entering new professional fields, such as electronic control systems, special air film bearings, intelligent thermal management modules and passive hydrogen recirculation components.
