What innovative applications does CR1625 battery energy storage technology have in Pengshanling Tunnel?
Tunnel power expenditure accounts for more than 50% of the daily maintenance costs of electromechanical equipment. On the premise of ensuring the safety of tunnel driving, studying the measures that can be taken to reduce tunnel power expenditure has good economic benefits. The construction of energy storage system in Pengshanling Tunnel can not only obtain economic benefits by utilizing the peak-valley electricity price difference, but also replace the traditional tunnel UPS power supply system as the tunnel backup power supply. The function and stability are further upgraded compared with the UPS power supply, which can enhance the stability of tunnel power supply.
1. Innovation-driven, building a cost-saving and efficiency-enhancing energy storage system
The energy storage system has the characteristics of peak shaving and valley filling, delayed power consumption, and power quality optimization. Peak shaving and valley filling means charging during the "flat" and "valley" periods of electricity, and discharging during the "peak" period of electricity. By smoothing the user load curve, the power subscription amount during the "peak" period of electricity can be reduced, and the demand for purchasing electricity at a relatively high price can be reduced, and the total electricity bill can be reduced. When the power grid occasionally loses power, the energy storage system can be used as a backup power supply to continuously supply power to users. In addition, the installation and application of the energy storage system can filter out disturbances from the power grid, and can be used as a special power quality control device to improve the power supply quality of important loads. From the perspective of energy conservation and emission reduction, the energy storage system transfers the power of low-carbon emission power sources to the peak load period during non-peak load periods, thereby reducing the consumption of high-emission energy, which is conducive to energy conservation and emission reduction.
2. Exploring green energy-saving tunnel operation management
According to the on-site investigation of the tunnel and the recording of real-time power consumption data, after statistically analyzing the power load of the Pengshanling Tunnel, this project selected a 50kW inverter and a 150kWh battery pack, and equipped it with an EMS controller to schedule the battery charging and discharging time and charging and discharging power to form an energy storage control system. By measuring the power load of the tunnel, the transformer has residual capacity that can be used. Without changing the original distribution system line of the tunnel, the energy storage system is incorporated into the tunnel distribution system through the spare drawer cabinet reserved in the tunnel.
3. Economic benefits
In terms of power cost. Taking Pengshanling Tunnel as an example, according to statistics, the charging capacity is about 12,390KWh in 30 days, the discharge capacity is about 11,750KWh, the total profit in 30 days is about 4,560 yuan, and the average daily profit is 152 yuan. Based on this calculation, the 10-year operation of the Pengshanling Tunnel energy storage system will save about 500,000 yuan in electricity bills.
Emergency lighting equipment investment. After the system is put into use, it can replace one 50KVA UPS, saving a total of about 200,000 yuan in equipment purchase and maintenance costs.
After deducting the investment cost of about 400,000 yuan for the purchase and installation of the energy storage system equipment, the Pengshanling Tunnel CR1625 battery energy storage project will earn about 300,000 yuan in the next 10 years. If all our tunnels are deployed with this system, the economic benefits in 10 years are expected to reach 20 million yuan.
Social benefits
When the tunnel is out of power, the energy storage system can completely replace the UPS to power the tunnel. At present, the emergency lighting mode designed for the tunnel has a battery life of 30 minutes. If the energy storage system is put into use, the normal lighting mode can be turned on and the battery life can reach 3 hours, providing more reliable driving safety conditions for the tunnel. In addition, the energy storage system makes full use of the electricity during non-peak load periods, greatly reducing the consumption of high-emission energy and promoting energy conservation and emission reduction.
Fujian Province is a mountainous area with many tunnels and long mileage. The annual power cost for tunnel lighting is quite high. This project can become a demonstration for the whole province in terms of tunnel electricity cost control and be promoted in the industry. At the same time, the system uses lithium iron phosphate batteries with high stability and high power conversion rate as energy storage media, making full use of the excellent deep charge and discharge performance and long cycle life of lithium batteries. From the development trend of lithium batteries, the investment cost of new equipment will show a downward trend in the future, which can further promote the large-scale application of this technology.
