Meaning of the indicator lights on the L822 battery power panel

Do you know what the indicator lights on the UPS power panel mean? Generally, there are several indicator lights on the UPS power panel: rectifier indicator light, inverter indicator light, battery indicator light, etc. Different UPS manufacturers have different products, and the indicator lights have different forms. The working conditions of the corresponding components are indicated by their color changes and flashing frequencies. Meaning of the indicator lights on the UPS power panel

Online status indicator light: The UPS power supply is connected to the mains and supplies power to the connected equipment.

Battery power indicator light: When the mains fails, the UPS can use its internal battery to supply power to the connected equipment for a period of time. When powered by battery, the UPS will sound an alarm every 30 seconds (4 "beeps"). When the UPS returns to online operation, the alarm stops.

Bypass indicator light: This indicator light is on, indicating that the UPS is in "bypass" mode. In this mode, the backup battery power cannot be used, and the mains power is directly delivered to the connected load.

Overload indicator light: When an overload occurs (that is, the connected equipment exceeds the "maximum load" defined by the UPS), the UPS will sound a continuous alarm and this light will be on.

Fault indicator light: When this light is on, it means that the UPS power supply has detected an internal fault.

There are two common situations when the UPS power indicator light is yellow:

1. There is no AC input, the battery indicator light is yellow, and there is an intermittent beep, indicating that there has been a power outage. Now the UPS power supply is powered. At this time, please pay attention to restore the AC power in time. If the AC power cannot be restored within the UPS working hours, shut down the equipment in time to save.

2. The UPS power supply automatically starts when a call is received. At this time, the UPS is in bypass operation. The bypass operation indicator light is on. You need to manually start the UPS once, and then you can use it normally.

Why does the UPS power supply light up red and make a sound?

1. It may be that the instantaneous voltage is lower than the input voltage range of the UPS uninterruptible power supply, because the voltage is not a constant 220V, it may change between 190-230V, or even between 150-280V. If the instantaneous voltage is too low, it may cause the UPS voltage to be insufficient, thereby issuing a red light and sound alarm.

2. There is an internal fault in the UPS power supply, or undervoltage and insufficient internal battery voltage.

Generally, a green UPS power indicator light indicates normal operation, and a red light with an alarm beep indicates power abnormality. However, the panel indicator lights of different UPS power manufacturers may vary. You can consult professional UPS power technicians for details.
