　　Typically in freezing conditions, lithium-ion batteries become less capable of capacity retention and cycle efficiency, resulting in shorter run times for devices such as laptops and mobile phones, or shorter range for electric vehicles, In colder countries in the northern hemisphere, electric vehicles have been measured to reduce range by 41%. Low temperature can also cause lithium metal deposition to produce lithium dendrites, leading to problems such as internal short circuits and battery fires. 　　In addition, Talga also revealed that its graphene silicon battery anode material called Talnode-Si can store about 70% more energy in lithium-ion batteries than anodes that only use graphite. Commercial samples have been sent to large international battery companies at the end of February.

　　Talga has also extended its business to cobalt mines, purchasing the Kiskama project in 2012, which is Sweden's largest cobalt deposit. In addition, Talga owns other high-grade copper, cobalt and gold projects in the early stages of exploration in northern Sweden.
