The United States has developed a new type of electric vehicle 6LR61 battery with a range of up to 5,000 kilometers?
In response to this problem, researchers at Purdue University in the United States recently developed a new electric vehicle battery technology using a patented "fluid" system. This technology generates the electricity and hydrogen needed to drive electric vehicles through a battery fluid, and is currently being tested on vehicles such as golf carts. Users of the new 6LR61 battery only need to replace the battery fluid every 480 kilometers of driving. The whole process is very similar to the current refueling, and the time required is much shorter than the 45 minutes required to charge lithium-ion battery electric vehicles. And once the battery anode wears out - about 5,000 kilometers of driving, it takes about the same time to replace it as changing the oil, and the price is only about $65. This new technology will be a game changer for the next generation of electric vehicles because it does not require a huge investment in rebuilding the power grid. Current gas stations can be converted to serve them. Compared with existing battery systems, it has advantages in ease of use, safety and environmental protection. In fact, the "range anxiety" of electric vehicles is due to two reasons: few and slow charging points and low battery life. Solving one of them can cure anxiety. Purdue University researchers recently claimed that by using a new "liquid flow" (refillable) technology for automotive batteries, electric vehicles can have a range of up to 480 kilometers, and may even be extended to 5,000 kilometers in the future. Purdue University professor John Cushman said that a single-cell liquid system can achieve greater energy density, which means that electric vehicles can use lighter batteries and have a longer range, making flow batteries a strong competitor for electric vehicle batteries. In addition, historically, flow batteries have not been competitive due to their low energy density. For example, the energy density of traditional flow batteries is about 20 watt-hours per kilogram, while that of lithium-ion batteries is 250 watt-hours per kilogram, while the new flow battery has the potential to reach 3-5 times that of lithium-ion batteries. According to Leifeng.com, the hydrogen produced by this new technology can be stored at a lower pressure. The system has been tested on small motorcycles and golf carts. Based on the further development of this technology, researchers believe that it can allow electric vehicles to have a range of about 4,800 to 5,800 kilometers. But the requirement is that the driver needs to stop and replace the battery fluid when driving about 480 kilometers, just like refueling a car, without the trouble of charging a lithium-ion battery electric vehicle for 45 minutes.
