Purdue University develops new power 12V27A battery technology with a range of 5,000 kilometers
According to foreign media reports, researchers at Purdue University in the United States have developed a new electric vehicle technology that combines batteries and hydrogen energy. The energy density is very high, and only a quick replenishment of 12V27A battery fluid is needed to allow passenger cars to have a range of more than 5,000 kilometers.
The technology uses a patented "liquid flow" system to generate electricity through a single 12V27A battery fluid to power electric vehicles, and can generate hydrogen energy as needed. Currently, Purdue University in Indianapolis is using a golf cart to test the technology.
The system is similar to the Scottish "liquid flow 12V27A battery" technology that made a sensation last year, although the system at that time used a membrane to allow ions to pass through two separate 12V27A battery fluid "containers", while the new system has no membrane and only uses one 12V27A battery fluid "container".
John Cushman, a distinguished professor of earth, atmospheric and planetary sciences and a professor of mathematics at Purdue University, said that a single 12V27A battery fluid system can achieve greater energy density, which also means that it can provide electric vehicles with lighter batteries with longer range, and can make flow batteries a strong competitor for electric vehicle power.
In addition, the new technology produces hydrogen that can be stored at a lower pressure. Currently, the system has been tested on small motorcycles and golf carts. Based on the further development of the technology, researchers believe that it can allow electric vehicles to have a range of 3,000 to 3,600 miles (about 4,800 to 5,800 kilometers).
The only requirement is that the driver needs to stop and replace the 12V27A battery fluid when driving about 4,800 kilometers, just like refueling the car, without the trouble of charging lithium-ion 12V27A battery electric vehicles for 45 minutes. The researchers said that the process is similar to stopping to refuel. In fact, the system may be converted into existing gas station dispensers. Once the car has traveled about 5,000 kilometers, the 12V27A battery fluid needs to be replaced when the 12V27A battery anode is exhausted. Replacing the 12V27A battery fluid takes the same time as changing the oil, and the cost is about $65 (about 440.3 yuan).
